How to use this sod calculator
Measure the length and width of the lawn area in feet. For irregular lawns, split the area into rectangles and circles, calculate each and add them together.
Pick a waste percentage: 5% for simple rectangular lawns, 10% for curved borders and beds. The calculator multiplies your lawn area accordingly and divides by the standard pallet coverage of 450 sq ft.
Most suppliers deliver by the pallet (about 450 sq ft) and sell loose rolls at roughly 10 sq ft each. Order pallets first, then top up with loose rolls to match your exact area.
